From furniture to framed pictures, soft furnishings, collectibles and gifts, Ancient & Modern is an Aladdin’s cave in Melton Mowbray full of quirky and unique products ready for you to explore! The store was founded from a love of stunning interiors and second-hand furniture, and we love helping you to create homes that are full of warmth, character and individuality, and that tell their own story. When sourcing our products, we always trust our instincts and expertise in purchasing pieces we truly love, hunting down treasures that will either make incredible upcycling projects or are immediately ready to show off in your home.
We are a family-run business dedicated to giving the best customer service, and our five-star Facebook reviews will tell you just how much effort we put in! From speedy deliveries and installations to personally sourcing an item you’ve requested, we work hard to support you at every step.

House Clearances
With decades of experience in buying and selling furniture, we are also pleased to offer full or partial house clearance services, in addition to buying secondhand items. We are always looking for old or new pieces of furniture, and our experienced and compassionate team. Anything we can’t sell in our store, we can donate to charities and other organisations to ensure that as little as possible goes to landfill.
